Well, knitted fabric (manufactured in China) will stretch and begin to look pretty bad over a short period of time. Our woven shade cloth is treated with Carbon black which allows us to give you the customer a 7 year guarantee on the material before you will notice any degradation from UV rays. In fact, many customers have had these shade panels up for 15, 20, and even 25 years.
